Probable Lineups…

Manchester City (4-5-1): Hart, Zabaleta, Kompany, Demichelis, Clichy, Fernando, Toure, Navas, Milner, Nasri, Aguero

Manchester City are currently in a patchy run of form, as the champions are win-less in the past three games. The latest fixture was a shock 2-0 home defeat to Newcastle United in the League Cup, which could not have been good for the league champion’s morale. To add to the problems, mercurial attacking midfielder David Silva picked up a knee ligament injury in that defeat and will miss the visit of neighbours Manchester United this weekend. Key midfielder Yaya Toure is also a doubt, but should recover in time for the clash.

Manchester United (4-1-2-1-2): De Gea,Rafael, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw, Blind, Fellaini, Herrera, Di Maria, Van Persie, Rooney

Manchester United needed a last minute equalizer against Chelsea last weekend to salvage a point at home, but it’s a good point earned against the current league leaders. The Red Devils are now undefeated in four games and will look to cause another upset to out-of-form Man City, who haven’t won in their last three fixtures. Louis van Gaal will also be welcoming back club captain Wayne Rooney after serving a three-game suspension for his red card against West Ham United. The Englishman is carrying a slight knock, but should be fit otherwise Radamel Falcao will start alongside Van Persie.
