Liverpool supporters have criticised comments made by Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford after the youngster said that the Reds did not deserve a point during the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

The 21-year-old scored against the Reds before half-time in an incident which was shrouded in controversy, after VAR failed to spot what could have been a foul on Divock Origi by Red Devils defender Victor Lindelof.

Rashford felt that the hosts deserved all three points during his post-match interview. Speaking to Sky Sports (via Goal), he said: “We deserved the three points. I don’t think they were good enough to get a draw out of the game or a win but this is football.

This has perplexed fans of the Merseyside club after the Reds had 66% of possession and four shots on target, which was more than Manchester United’s 34% with the ball and just the two shots on target Allison faced in the visitor’s goal.

Supporters have been arguing on social media that Manchester United did not even deserve a goal during the 90 minutes due to the utter domination from the first whistle by the visitors.
